Option trading
Want to be an OPTION TRADER? This page is aimed towards helping college- and uni- students who are interested in option trading. I will present 3 tenets for getting great option trading job to you.
1. Interest
2. Maneuver
3. Economics
Interest
My firm belief is that a person who does something for the money only, can never beat a person who does it for fun or out of passion. If you truly enjoy what you’re doing, it’s very difficult for a person who’s only doing it for the money to keep up with you in the long run. Therefore, you have to choose an area of work that truly interests you.
Maneuver
By this I mean that you have to keep controlling the direction that you’re going in. When you’re employed inside a company, it’s important to understand that you define your job. If you evolve and show ability, your superiors are likely to notice. Your boss might not be happy but you will be noticed higher up in the hierarchy. This means you can define your job and also at the same time define your next job. You also need to keep an eye out for external option trading positions. It is easier to make a career “jump” by moving between companies than it is to do the same option trader career “jump” within the same company.
Economics
If you want to be an OPTION TRADER, the most difficult place to start is the stock market. Why? Because there is already a large number of people with very long experience in that area. So you should choose a less competitive area to start in and then maneuver into the area that interests you most. Right now electricity and CO2 emissions are hot areas where it’s easy to get a job and gain experience.
